Trauma can be said to be overwhelming experience without a relational home. Therapy can provide that home to process the past, face the future and enjoy the present.
Even the strongest people need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.
Trauma therapy helps you access your strengths and resources so that a troubling memory or thought becomes manageable. Once the feelings of facing that memory become manageable it can be processed and fade into the fabric of ordinary memory – it happened, I’ll never like that it happened and I’m okay.
